Come Back

Inspired by Romans 8:3-13, Patrick conveys a compelling message of faith, hope, and love with a call to holiness in Christ with his music. Using a peaceful and encouraging soundscape, Patrick brings us his debut album, Come Back. "Many of the contemporary Christians I see walking around today don't really have an idea of what following Christ really is." Patrick states. "They call themselves Christians but at the same time feel comfortable doing things that Christ specifically commands them not too, and indulging in the foolishly sinful activities of the world. They also don't do the things that the Bible does command them to do. It's time for Christians to take a step forward in their walk; it's time for them to focus on God and give up their own selfishness. It's time for them to go into repentance, trust in God fully, and receive the blessings of life, love, true joy, and true sacrifice. That's what I've written about in this album." The record starts with At Calvary, which tells the story of a true Salvation experience. "The song starts out telling my story of redemption. I was a sinner, Christ died for me, I repent and believe in the power of His blood, and he sets me free. It's a story of how God replaced my sickness, my sinfulness, my chains, my straying ways, and my debt with life, love, and a walk of Holiness in the power of Christ." Patrick explains. "It's just the beginning of the Christian walk, which is why it's the beginning of the album." Come Back continues with the second song, the one which the album was named after. "I think that the focus of this album is to bring people back to Christ." Says Patrick. The album starts with the gospel message, picks up with a direct call for Christians to come back to the true walk of Christianity, and slows into concepts of relying on God, being willing to do His will at all times, and crying out for strength to continually spread the Good News. It takes a quick topical break with a praise song, You Reign and moves on to encourage Christians to love and live just as Jesus Christ would. Patrick wraps up the album with a prayer, Bring Me To My Knees. "It's a cry out to God, a request that He would continue to purify me, sanctify me, and lead me in a humble life of being molding-clay." He says. The ending song, Amazing Grace, finishes the picture without any words. "We all know the words to Amazing Grace. Most people know them by heart and could recite every word to you rotely. It's time for us to start truly living them." Patrick expresses. "That's the reason it's instrumental. We all can talk the talk, we just need to ask God to help us start walking the talk."
